You will turn a neutral account of ongoing work into a short report. The goal is to change the register while keeping the same action, participants and time reference.
The idea
For an ongoing process, a report may use incelemektedir where everyday language uses inceliyor. Forms with -mektedir or -maktadır present the process in a formal style; they do not mean it has finished. Keep the voice: kullanılıyor becomes kullanılmaktadır, whereas kullanıyor becomes kullanmaktadır. The formal ending itself does not make a verb passive. Neutral forms with -iyor are also possible in writing; choose a register that suits the text and use it consistently.
| Neutral account | Formal report |

| Ekip verileri dün inceledi. | Ekip verileri dün inceledi. |

Read-aloud uses a synthetic Turkish voice available on your device. Voice quality and availability vary; it does not assess your pronunciation.
No Turkish device voice is available. You can still read the text.
Watch out
Do not replace every past predicate with an ongoing one to sound formal. In Ekip verileri dün inceledi., the examination is a completed event. Replacing inceledi with incelemektedir changes the timeline, not just the style. Written Turkish can use the ordinary past.
Try it yourself
The team is still examining the data. Choose the formal report form for the gap; write only the predicate.

incelemektedir
incelemektedir: the team is still examining the data, so this formal predicate preserves the ongoing action and keeps the team as the doer.
The examination finished yesterday. Choose the predicate that preserves this fact in a report.

inceledi
inceledi: the prompt says the examination finished yesterday. This past form preserves that completed event; formality does not require changing its time.
Keep “is being used” passive when making the sentence formal. Choose and write only the predicate.

kullanılmaktadır
kullanılmaktadır: the method is being used by someone. The passive remains, so the method does not become the user, as it would with kullanmaktadır.
You are sending a casual message to a friend about ongoing work. Choose the more conversational predicate.
