Use banka for a financial institution and practise describing a visit, a location and the bank someone uses. The possessive in “my bank” normally describes a customer relationship, not ownership of the business.
The idea
The stem banka stays intact: bankaya means “to the bank”, bankayı marks a specific direct object, and bankanın means “of the bank”. The final a gives forms with a or dotless ı. There is no consonant softening here. Compare bankam, bankan, bankası and bankamız. The plural is bankalar, but after a number use iki banka.

Watch out
Do not simply attach the location ending to bankası. “At his or her bank” is bankasında, with n between the possessive and case endings. Bankada only says “at the bank”; it does not express whose bank it is. The common noun takes no apostrophe.
Try it yourself
Complete the noun: We are going to the bank now.

bankaya
bankaya: gidiyoruz describes movement towards the bank. The ending needs y after the final vowel; bankada would locate the action instead of giving its destination.
Complete the noun: I found this bank on the map.

bankayı
bankayı: bu identifies the bank that was found, so this direct object takes the accusative. Keep the final a, add y, then dotless ı.
Complete the noun: There are three banks on this street.

banka
banka: üç already gives the number. Turkish leaves the counted noun singular, so adding -lar here would duplicate the number marking.
Complete the noun: I am waiting at his or her bank.

bankasında
bankasında: onun identifies the person whose bank is meant. Start with bankası, then add -nda for the waiting location; bankada would lose that possessive link.
