Use ehliyet for a driving licence in everyday conversation. You will describe finding one, leaving it somewhere and noticing its photograph, while keeping track of whose licence it is.
The idea
The final t stays in ehliyeti, ehliyete and ehliyetim. Compare ehliyette and ehliyetten, where the suffix also begins with t. The plural is ehliyetler. In ehliyetlerimiz, several licences belong to us. The same form ehliyetleri can refer to their licence or their licences; context supplies the number.

Watch out
Ehliyeti buldum means “I found the licence”; onun ehliyeti means “his/her licence”. To make the latter the object of “found”, say onun ehliyetini buldum. Do not stop at the possessive ending: the object form needs the extra -ni after ehliyeti.

Complete with “my driving licence”: it is in the drawer.

ehliyetim
ehliyetim: the speaker owns the licence, so the word ends in -im. Its last vowel is e, and the stem keeps its t before the added vowel.
