Seçim can name an election or a choice. A fictional club election and everyday decisions show how its endings identify the event, its owner and its role in a sentence.
The idea
The stem seçim stays intact: seçime, seçimde, seçimden, seçimler. Its final vowel is i, so forms such as seçimim and seçimimiz keep front vowels. Seçimi can be a specific object or mean his/her choice; onun seçimini adds an object ending after possession, with n between the two endings.

Watch out
An available option is a seçenek; the act or result of choosing is a seçim. Use iki seçenek arasında seçim yapmak for making a choice between two options. Do not count the options as iki seçim unless you really mean two separate choices.
