A meeting can be an event you attend, something you postpone, or the setting for a discussion. You will choose the form of toplantı that fits each role and distinguish one shared meeting from several meetings.
The idea
Learn the noun with its verb: toplantıya katılmak means to attend a meeting, while toplantıyı ertelemek means to postpone the meeting. The stem keeps its final dotless ı: toplantıya, toplantıyı, toplantının. Its internal t does not soften. Possession comes before case: toplantımızda means at our meeting; ekip toplantısında means at the team meeting, with n between the compound ending -sı and -da.

Watch out
Do not translate “attend the meeting” with toplantıyı katılmak: katılmak takes the dative here. Toplantıda locates an action at the meeting; it does not mark the meeting being attended. Also distinguish toplantımız (our meeting) from toplantılarımız (our meetings): several owners do not make the event plural.
