A başvuru is an application, for example to join a course or workshop. You will distinguish an application being discussed from someone's application, then combine ownership with the case a verb requires. The situations here are fictional language practice.
The idea
The stem stays başvuru: başvuruyu is a specific application as a direct object, while başvurusu means his or her application. For that person's application as an object, use başvurusunu. Compare başvurumuz (our application) with başvurularımız (our applications): after plural -lar, the possessive vowel is dotless ı. In kurs başvurusu, the same -su marks the noun compound, meaning an application for a course.

Watch out
Do not treat başvuruyu and başvurusunu as interchangeable. Onun başvurusunu okudum keeps the link to the applicant; Bu başvuruyu okudum simply identifies the application. Keep the ending in the compound too: kurs başvurusunu. Also, başvuru yapmak means to apply, not to be accepted.

başvuruyu
başvuruyu: bu points to the particular application being read. Add accusative -yu after the final vowel; nothing in this sentence calls for a possessive ending.
Complete: I read his or her application.

başvurusunu
başvurusunu: onun supplies the owner and okudum makes that application the direct object. Retain -su, then add n and -u; the result preserves both relationships.
Use the plural: Our applications arrived today.

başvurularımız
başvurularımız: the prompt specifies several applications belonging to us. Put -lar before -ımız; the vowel now follows the a in the plural, not the stem's final u.
Complete: Why are you giving up on this application?

başvurudan
başvurudan: vazgeçmek takes the ablative for what is given up. The demonstrative already singles out the application, but the verb requires -dan, not an accusative ending.
