A delay announcement may tell you how long the train is late or why it has stopped. Ask staff for an update before choosing another route.
The idea
ほど makes the ten-minute delay approximate. のため gives the reason; 止まっています describes a stopped train. いつごろ asks for an approximate time, and まだ分かりません means that it is not known yet.
Examples
The train is about ten minutes late.
The train has stopped because of an accident.
About when will it start moving?
We don’t know yet.
Can I get there on another line?
Then I’ll ask a station attendant.

Watch out
A ten-minute delay is measured against the schedule, not a promise that the train will move in ten minutes. An alternative line may also be affected, so ask staff.

Read the announcement aloud, ask when the train will move, then ask whether another line can take you there.
