Use にとって to say whose standpoint an evaluation reflects.

The idea

Attach にとって to a person or group: 私にとって、この本は大切です means the book is important from my perspective. Before a noun, use にとっての, as in 彼女にとっての決断.

Watch out

Do not treat にとって as a general substitute for に: it frames an evaluation, rather than marking a destination or recipient.
