A scope discussion identifies deliverables and exclusions before the team agrees on a plan.

The idea

Use 範囲を確認できますか to open the discussion. 範囲外 marks an exclusion; ~する場合は introduces a condition, followed by its consequence. 優先していただけますか politely asks the other person to prioritize.

Examples

First, could we confirm the scope of this project?
The current estimate includes design and testing.
Maintenance after delivery is outside the scope.
If we add this feature, we will need to review the deadline.
Could we prioritize the essential features first?
I will summarize the agreed scope in writing.

Watch out

An estimate including design and testing does not automatically include maintenance. Name exclusions and confirm any change to the deadline before treating them as agreed.

Try it yourself
