A useful reply thanks the sender and makes clear whether you can attend.
The idea
To accept, say ぜひ参加したいです and confirm the day or details. To decline, apologise and give a brief reason such as その日は予定があります; offer another day only if you mean it.
| Part | Example |
|---|---|
Examples
Thank you for inviting me.
I would love to join.
Saturday works for me.
Sorry, I have plans that day.
I would be glad to meet another day.
I am looking forward to it.
Read-aloud uses a synthetic Japanese voice available on your device. Voice quality and availability vary; it does not assess your pronunciation.

Watch out
大丈夫です can mean different things in different contexts. Say explicitly whether you will participate, and do not put the acceptance and refusal examples together as one reply.

Write two separate replies to a fictional invitation: accept one and politely decline the other. Confirm the day in the first and, if suitable, suggest another day in the second.
