A fatura can be a household bill or an invoice. Here you will describe what appears on one, say whose it is, and keep the right endings when the bill becomes the object of a verb.
The idea
The stem fatura stays intact: faturayı, faturaya, faturanın. Its final a determines the suffix vowels, so “our bill” is faturamız, with dotless ı. In elektrik faturası, “electricity bill”, -sı links the two nouns; the definite object is elektrik faturasını. With “our”, use elektrik faturamız: the possessive ending replaces -sı.

Watch out
Do not carry faturayı unchanged into the compound: use elektrik faturasını, not elektrik faturayı, for the electricity bill as a definite object. Keep -sı and add n before the case ending. The same pattern gives elektrik faturasında, “on the electricity bill”.
