Use artırmak to say that someone or something makes an amount, level or quality higher. At B2, you will distinguish the cause of a change from the thing that changes and specify how much is added.
The idea
Artırmak is transitive: in Kütüphane çalışma saatlerini artırdı, the library causes the change and its opening hours are the definite object. By contrast, Talep arttı describes rising demand without naming a cause. Use artır- as the stem: artırıyorum, artırdım, artırırım. In artıracağım, the future ending’s k becomes ğ before the person ending. The passive artırıldı says something was increased without naming the agent. Write the question particle separately: artırıyor musun?

Watch out
Do not confuse the amount added with the new total: beş dakika artırmak adds five minutes; on dakikaya artırmak makes ten minutes the endpoint. In yirmiden otuza, twenty is the starting value and thirty the new total. Keep the dotless ı in artırmak.

Show answer or example answer
artırıyor
artırıyor: the device causes a change in sinyal gücünü, the signal strength. Artıyor would make the device itself the thing increasing and would not take this object.
Complete with the future form of artırmak for “we”: next month we will increase production.

artıracağız
artıracağız: gelecek ay places the action in the future and biz calls for “we”. The future ending’s k becomes ğ before the first-person plural ending -ız.
The duration went from five to ten minutes. Complete the amount of the increase using dakika.

dakika
dakika: the difference between ten and five is five minutes. The blank gives the amount added, so it needs no dative ending; beş dakikaya would name a five-minute endpoint.
The number of places rose from twenty to thirty. Give the new total using otuz.
Show answer or example answer
otuza
otuza: thirty is the resulting total, not the amount added. The dative -a marks that endpoint; yirmiden already supplies the starting value.
