Yönetmek describes directing an activity or taking responsibility for people and resources. Use it for a team, a meeting or your time; the object tells the reader what kind of management you mean.
The idea
Yönetmek takes a direct object: bu ekibi yönetmek means to manage this team. Keep the stem’s t in yönetiyorum and yönetirim. The past is yönettim, with two ts; the future is yöneteceğim, where only the future ending’s k softens. In Dernek yönetiliyor, the association receives the action: it is being run.

Watch out
Do not translate “manage to do” with yönetmek. Sorunu çözmeyi başardık says we succeeded in solving the problem; süreci yönettik says we managed the process. Also use the accusative for a specific object: ekibi, not ekibe.
Try it yourself
Use the past tense of yönetmek: We ran the workshop together yesterday.

yönettik
yönettik: the action happened yesterday and “we” did it. The stem ends in t, so the past marker starts with t too; final -k identifies the group.
Use the future tense of yönetmek: I will chair the meeting next week.

yöneteceğim
yöneteceğim: the speaker takes responsibility for next week. The future form needs the first-person ending, which changes the ending’s k to ğ before its vowel.
Add the correct case ending to ekip: We manage this team.

ekibi
ekibi: bu identifies a particular team as the object. Adding accusative -i changes the noun’s final p to b; the team is being managed, not approached.
Choose yönetmek or başarmak and use the past tense for “we”: We finally managed to finish the work.

başardık
başardık: the sentence reports a successful result after an effort. Bitirmeyi names what we succeeded in doing; yönettik would describe directing something instead.
