Use these phrases at an office when registration instructions are unclear.
The idea
〜について伺いたいのですが introduces a polite inquiry. 〜ということでしょうか checks your interpretation; 〜ていただけますか politely asks the other person to do something.
Examples
- 登録について伺いたいのですが。I would like to ask about registration.
- 説明のこの部分が分かりません。I do not understand this part of the instructions.
- もう一度、説明していただけますか。Could you explain it once more?
- 書類の原本が必要ですか。Do I need the original document?
- 申込書はいつまでに提出すればいいですか。By when should I submit the form?
- これをこちらの窓口に持ってくるということでしょうか。So I should bring it to this counter, is that correct?
