Use ばかりでなく to add a second fact to the first: not only A, but also B.
The idea
Attach it directly to a noun, a plain verb or an い-adjective: 日本語ばかりでなく, 読むばかりでなく, 軽いばかりでなく. With a な-adjective use である, as in 静かであるばかりでなく. The second noun often takes も.

Watch out
ばかり alone can mean “only” or “nothing but”; ばかりでなく explicitly adds another fact. Do not use the polite 読みます immediately before it: use 読む.
