Turn a short meeting into notes that colleagues can act on.

The idea

Use ことに決まりました to record an agreed decision. Mark an unresolved issue with まだ確認が必要です. For each action, name the person, the work and the deadline: 金曜日までに means by Friday, inclusive.

Examples

At the meeting, it was decided to adopt the new proposal.
The budget still needs to be checked.
Tanaka will send the documents by Friday.
Sato will check the schedule with the person in charge.
The results will be reported at the next meeting.
The next meeting is on Monday afternoon.

Watch out

Do not present a proposal or an unconfirmed point as a decision. までに marks a deadline; まで describes a continuing endpoint. Include a year and date when the weekday alone could be ambiguous.

Write a short summary with one decision, one open question and two actions. Give each action an owner and a deadline, then check the details against the meeting.
