You will conjugate yaşamak in four forms and say where you, your family or an animal lives.
The idea
The stem yaşa- ends in the vowel a, and that shapes the endings. In the present the a drops: yaşıyorum (yaşa- + -ıyor + -um), and the negative is yaşamıyorum. The past keeps it: yaşadım. The future adds a y and softens: yaşayacağım, where the k of -acak becomes ğ before a vowel. The place where someone lives takes the locative: Bursa'da yaşıyorum.
| Person | Present | Past | Future | Negative present |

| sen | yaşıyorsun | yaşadın | yaşayacaksın | yaşamıyorsun |
| o | yaşıyor | yaşadı | yaşayacak | yaşamıyor |
| biz | yaşıyoruz | yaşadık | yaşayacağız | yaşamıyoruz |
| siz | yaşıyorsunuz | yaşadınız | yaşayacaksınız | yaşamıyorsunuz |
| onlar | yaşıyorlar | yaşadılar | yaşayacaklar | yaşamıyorlar |

Watch out
Without a place, yaşıyor means "is alive": Dedem yaşıyor says that your grandfather is alive, not where he lives. Name the place, and do not write yaşayorum: the present drops the a, while the future keeps it and adds a y: yaşayacağım.
Try it yourself
Fill in the present continuous: you (plural) live in Bursa.
