A warm reply still needs a decision. Compare two replies to a Saturday dinner invitation: the first confirms attendance and the time; the second declines and suggests meeting another day. The last example also shows a more formal reply.
The idea
Build the reply around thanks, a clear decision and a closing. For acceptance, seve seve geleceğim warmly confirms that you will come; add a useful detail such as your arrival time. For a refusal, ne yazık ki katılamayacağım states that you cannot attend; a short reason or another meeting suggestion can follow. Use davetin with a friend and davetiniz for polite or plural address. Keep that choice consistent.

Watch out
Gelmek isterim means “I would like to come”; on its own it does not clearly confirm attendance. If you cannot come, continue with ama and the obstacle, then make the refusal explicit. Avoid ending a definite refusal with belki gelirim (“maybe I will come”), which makes the plan uncertain again.
Try it yourself
Thank your friend for the invitation. Fill the gap with için or ama.
Show answer or example answer
için
için introduces what you are thanking the friend for: the invitation. Ama would introduce a contrast, which does not fit between the invitation and the thanks.
Confirm that you will come: use gelmek in the first-person singular future. Write only the missing verb.
Show answer or example answer
geleceğim
geleceğim commits the writer to coming on Saturday. In this first-person future form, the final k of -ecek becomes ğ before the vowel of the personal ending.
Say that you will not be able to attend: use katılmak in the first-person singular future with inability. Write only the missing verb.
Show answer or example answer
katılamayacağım
katılamayacağım says that attending will not be possible for the writer. Katılmayacağım only says “I will not attend” and leaves out the inability requested in the prompt.
Connect the wish to come with the conflicting plan. Fill the gap with a conjunction meaning “but”.
Show answer or example answer
ama / fakat / ancak
ama / fakat / ancak links the wish to come with a conflicting plan. Çünkü would make that other plan the reason for wanting to come, changing the intended meaning.

Imagine a friend has invited you to dinner on Saturday at six. Write two replies of four to six sentences: accept in one and decline in the other. Include thanks and a closing in both, an arrival detail in the acceptance, and a brief reason plus a suggestion to meet another day in the refusal.
