A useful follow-up records what was agreed and makes the next action clear.

The idea

Thank the recipient, then state why you are writing. Summarize decisions with ことで合意しました, name the person responsible and use までに for the deadline. Close with a polite request to check or correct the summary.

Examples

Thank you for meeting with us today.
I am writing to confirm the points discussed.
We agreed to revise the proposal.
I will send the revised document by Friday.
Could you please check the schedule?
Please let me know if anything is incorrect.

Watch out

Do not present an undecided proposal as an agreement. までに gives a deadline, while まで describes continuation up to a time; verify names and dates before sending.
