The idea

To infer her next step, connect her need at the start with the obstacle during the viewing and her action at the end. Ama marks a contrast: a positive feature can be followed by a reason to hesitate. Support your conclusion with two details from the story.

Ev sahibi Cem Bey'i aradı ve salı sabahı evi görmeye gitti.

Cem Bey kapıyı açtı. Önce mutfağı, sonra salonu gösterdi. Selin pencerenin yanına baktı. “Çalışma masam buraya sığar,” dedi. Cem Bey perdeyi çekti. Odaya güneş girdi. Selin evi beğendi; iş yerine gitmesi gereken günlerde otobüs durağı da yakındı.

Selin pencereyi açtı. Karşıda bir okul vardı. O sırada okulun bahçesi boştu. Selin sokağı dinledi. Yoldan yalnızca bir bisiklet geçti. “Burası hep böyle sessiz mi?” diye sordu.

Cem Bey, “Şu anda çocuklar derste. Öğleden sonra aileler okulun önünde bekliyor. O zaman sokak daha kalabalık oluyor,” dedi. Tam o sırada zil çaldı ve çocuklar bahçeye çıktı. Ev aydınlıktı ama sokak sessiz değildi. Selin pencereyi kapattı. Ses azaldı, fakat tamamen kesilmedi.

Selin'in toplantıları genellikle öğleden sonraydı.

Evi beğendim means she liked the flat, not that she rented it. In henüz karar vermedim, the decision is still open; it is not a final refusal either.
